Dr. Landry Bikai

Jacques Landry BIKAI, PhD in applied macroeconomics. I’m economist in the research department of the Bank of Central African States (BEAC) since 2012. Before my career in the Central Bank, I was a junior lecturer in two (02) universities in Cameroon. I am an applied macroeconomist with interests and aptitude in macroeconomic modeling. I'm also interested in programming with Matlab and toolboxes like Dynare, Iris, Rise for solving Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium Models (DSGE). I am mainly interested in issues related to fiscal policy, monetary policy and structural policies of sub-Saharan African countries and mainly in CEMAC (Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa). Over the past two years, I have devoted part of my research to Fintechs and Cryptocurrencies as member of an internal working group at the Central Bank. I also obtained in 2020 a certificate from the University of Cambridge on Fintech and Regulatory innovation.
