Director, Strategy and Financial Inclusion Policy, Alliance for Financial Inclusion
Kennedy Komba currently heads the directorate of Strategy and Financial Inclusion Policy at AFI that provides strategic oversight to all activities in AFI, through conceptualising and designing annual plans based on member needs, policy analysis and in-country implementation. The directorate also oversees Monitoring and Evaluation of AFI corporate initiatives and incorporates the findings to improve program delivery.
Kennedy is a senior central banker with experience in payment system, financial inclusion policy and regulations. He has over 10 years’ experience on the Tanzania financial sector development and more than 4 years in the Eastern and Southern Africa payments systems regulatory aspects, monetary policy implementation and financial inclusion through working as program manager with the Macroeconomic and Financial Management Institute of Eastern and southern Africa in Zimbabwe. He also had several experiences as a trainer and consultant with IMF/Afritac providing technical support to the financial regulators in the sub-Saharan region.
